The first meeting of the Sometime Songwriters' Club will take place on Sunday, September 7th, 2025.
Sometime Songwriters' Club takes place at 7:30pm on the first Sunday of each month at Starlight Studios in Paisley (16 Wellmeadow St, Paisley, PA1 2EE).​ It's free to come along, bring your songs, and join in the fun.

Each evening starts with 10–15 minutes of free writing, followed by a writing exercise, and a short discussion about a technical aspect of songwriting.
​
Then, each songwriter is invited to share a song they have written and discuss their process with the group.
​
Finally, we pick a new (optional) writing prompt for the following month's meeting. ​​
Do you want to write 12 new songs this year?
There are no bad songs. There are some songs that we might like better than others, that say more clearly the thing we're trying to express, or contain catchier melodies. The only bad song is a song you didn't write. The only fail state is to fail to write at all. Even in writing a song we might never play again, we learn something that we take forward into our future songwriting.
